Working With DSL Modem

For these past weeks I couldn't do my new research projects because my modem got destroyed. I did not know the reason it's not working. It just suddenly didn't function. I couldn't connect to the Internet so I had to postpone all my pending projects. It was really a hard life with a non-working modem. My Internet life was also struggling and my friends have been telling me to check my email. But, what could I do? I had no working modem.
