We recently subscribed to DSL services and I must say that it really provides fast internet access. Before we opted for DSL, we had a
cable internet connection. I don't have any complaints on the cable internet either. But, we just had a DSL offer that's much cheaper so we switched. The point is, should we have stayed with the cable internet because it might be faster? Or, is it a good idea to try out DSL?
Well, technically speaking, both of these internet services provide good access speed, unlike other services, like dial-up or internet cards. So, why else should we compare these two when they both give satisfactory performances? Before DSL companies upgraded their technology, the cable
internet modem had a higher level of bandwidth than that of the DSL. Up until now, there are some cable internet services that are faster than DSL services. But, cable internet also slows down when many people use the cable line simultaneously. With DSL, you'll have absolute access to your own internet services. Both of these services also have "speed caps". This means that their bandwidth is limited. Thus, in this area, they perform the same. But, really, there's not much to compare with the two since they both offer
efficient internet access to users. It's a win-win situation. It's not so bad to try both and it's not so bad to choose from any of the two.
